This half term, the pupils at Cedars have been learning how to draw self-portraits.

We talked about the position of their features on their faces and then how to add detail to make their portraits look accurate.

Following on from that, the children studied portraits drawn and painted by the artist, Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and books.
