Our overarching theme for the first half of the Summer Term is ’Resilience’.

The children in the ARP have been thinking about the meaning of the word and have discussed different situations where they have shown resilience. Oliver has shown a lot of resilience when learning his times tables and practising how to tie his shoelaces. Whilst Jay has demonstrated how resilient he can be when learning his spellings and showing a huge improvement in his reading. Our other pupils show how resilient they are by attending Cedars each day and showing an improvement in their attitudes towards work.

We have also read and completed work about the book,’ After the Fall’ written by Dan Santat, this is a story about Humpty Dumpty showing resilience and taking steps to overcome his fear of heights to climb the wall again.
