Children have been studying the artist Paul Klee. They learned that Paul Klee was born in Switzerland on 18th December 1879. His father was a music teacher and Klee followed in his footsteps by being a very talented violin player from a young age. Also, he was also passionate about drawing landscape pictures.

Influenced by Paul Klee using tints in his work, children learned how to create tints and then applied them using acrylic paints by adding white. They created a sunset using blue, orange and white.

The following lesson, they created a face in the style of the artist, using similar colours and experimenting with their own ideas.
