Look at our beanstalk transformation!

We started a few weeks ago with some beans, soil and water. We planted our beans in small pots and made sure we kept them in a sunny but wet place in our outdoor area. The children voted for where was the best place to put our beans.

We knew that if we looked after our beans, they would grow tall and hopefully give us more beans!

We then measured started to see some small shoots and roots begin to appear. We discussed why plants need roots and realised that they were important to anchor the plant down in the soil and to feed the plant.

Our beanstalks are now ranging between 10 and 40cm! Some of the beanstalks have started to produce small pods that will hopefully give us some beans! We will be bringing them home soon to show our families!
