In Year 3, we have been discussing what peace means to us. We have identified that feeling at peace can also mean feeling happy, safe and relaxed. As a class, we have shared what makes a place peaceful and have identified places that make us feel peaceful. Lots of us shared that we feel the safest and the most relaxed when we are at home (usually in our bedrooms!) or when we are outside around nature, such as gardens or beaches.

We have explored how religions are linked to peace through different teachings and practices. During a lesson with Mrs Turner, we looked at key figures in history who have fought for peace. We researched Malala Yousafzai, Nelson Mandela or Mahatma Gandhi and produced fact files about them. We know that we can be brave and stand up for peace, too.
