We had a very exciting visitor at Yew Tree this week! The children in Year 3 and 4 had the opportunity to meet, touch, hold and learn about lots of different animals! Miss Beacom and Miss Rowlands were very proud of the children in Elm and Poplar class for how sensible they were when handling the animals, as well as how brave lots of them were!

Jay: I really liked having the snake around my neck because it was really long! It nearly touched my leg!

Charlie L: I liked all of the animals even though I didn’t touch them all! It wasn’t as scary as I thought it was going to be. My favourite animal was Bert the skunk because he was fluffy and fluffy animals are the best.

Cassidy: I liked the snake because it was scaly and I liked the feel of it. I even had it around my neck!

Miss Rowlands: I loved holding the snake! I was really proud of how brave the children were – I was surprised at how many of them excitedly asked to have it around their neck!
